Non-scale victory of the week!

Not really feeling victorious about anything lately. School starts in a few days, grad school class just began and I already feel like I am behind, and I still have to write three more syllabi and get ready for parents moving their kids in. Hopefully things will settle down next week and I can normalize my diet and stop drinking so much soda.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

This week I relied upon soda to keep me awake and alert as much as I could have through the faculty meetings that drag on like this sentence. My food choices were not great, but partially I am getting things out of my system in preparation for my birthday and a major shift in my health choices. More water, more smoothies, let’s meet, and more natural food.

What are your goals for the upcoming week?

I am going to get out of my system the concept of eating out, eating meat center diets, and get into a groove with smoothies, water, and home cooked meals. Hopefully this will turn things around when things start to get stressful. I am also hoping that my energies are seeking out a resolution to my work issues and professional

Non-scale victory of the week!

Defended the galaxy from alien hordes....

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Well, sticktoitiveness is a sticky issue. We had the neighbors over and I was expecting my family to come over for a DIY pizza night. So, while at the store, I bought Pepsi. I think I finished 4 L in about 3 days, maybe less. I stopped drinking water and lemonade. I think, I know, I need to stick to hydrating fluids, not sugar laden ones. My weight loss has plateaued, and at this time, I need to stick to the plan and ramp up activity before school starts in order to keep the weight loss moving.

Make food for the dogs. Get the bikes out, pump up the tires, and start using them. Attach license plates and get vehicles tuned up. Make more home cooked meals; use all the ingredients in the fridge before they spoil.

Non-scale victory of the week!

Getting some paperwork done and organizing things around the house. I know it doesn’t sound like much.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

There is still more paperwork and details to take care of doing errands around town.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I managed to host my family, take care of the dogs, finish the Drexel project, and maintain the house in Wyp's absence while she was at ME with her family.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Less drinking of soda. Less going out to restaurants. It was great to eat out with Ian, but I can't just resort to comfort foods during busy times.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I was able to, with help, get my poster done for Drexel's REThink program. It has been submitted and our presentation is on Thursday. On Tuesday, I was privileged to spend some time with former Hill Security Driver Ian and get a glimpse into his world. Some people are suffering and dealing with a lot of crap. I am trying to lose weight. He is not eating because he can't afford it and is going through a rough time. It puts things in perspective.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I drank soda two days in a row being out with the neighbors (bad influences!) and Ian. I am hoping to return tomorrow to austerity shakes. I actually likes the chocolate cayenne cinnamon energy motivator smoothie.

What are your goals for the upcoming week?

Start other workout activities e.g. biking, kayaking, weights, squats, lunges in the basement. I am losing, I'm sure, the easy pounds and will have to start challenging my system to move to the next plateau, but if I can keep making this sort of progress (10lbs/wk) then I will be in good shape come Thanksgiving.

Non-scale victory of the week!

So far, my main victory is not having drunk and he saw that today. I know I was carrying around extra bloat weight and but stopping so that would help. Innoway though, I feel this is cheating that I am dropping a few quick pounds at the onset and that the numbers don’t reveal an actual check

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I think the main thing that I need to do to start this process is to be more conscientious about so do you aside time to exercise. I watched a video on doing simple squats and with only 100 a day for 30 days people were seeing results. I think once I start doing something I will start to see results.

What are your goals for the upcoming week?

One of the DietBet challenges for this weekend is 22.5 K steps by Sunday night. I would like to try to do that although I am grading the AP exam all weekend, which means I will have to push exercise to the lunch break and evenings if I have a chance of completing them. I would like to start eating better as well, I don’t know if I’m gonna make it all the way down to Drexel or five days, but that would give me some time to get some steps in and perhaps
