  • I posted a weigh in that meets my goal. However, my weigh in was rejected because the top LED light in our display went out. I can't exactly fix this. Could you please advise? Note, my wife's weigh in (with a "3" in the same place, and thus the same problem) was accepted. It is OBVIOUS that this is 179.5, well under my required weight of 182.5. The only other option is 149.5, which also would be winning, if very unhealthy. Could you please advise asap how to correct?

LADIES! How do I keep my “girls” from deflating and disappearing? I’m down 25lb (from 235 to 210) since the beginning of the year, and I plan to be down another 25 (to 185) by the end of June (eventual goal will be losing another 25 to get to “normal BMI”but I feel like the last 25 will be a slower process.) The one thing I didn’t mind about being overweight/obese was the proportional increase in bra size. But I’m starting to see the effects of my fairly rapid weight loss combined with the passing of a decade since I was thin-ish. Does anyone who has been through this before have any tips for the tatas?

Right there with you. As a gal who was always hourglass shaped, now when I lose its always girls first, and if I gain the weight back, straight to the booty so I keep getting more and more pear shaped. Must be hormones. I'm 40.

So I've been using my Ringfit adventure game on the Switch. But ever since I 100% the main game (which took like 6 months to be fair) it feels kind of stale. So I have recently discovered Chloe Ting on YouTube and holy cow her workouts are intense! Adding her to my routine for sure! Has anyone else used YouTube for workouts?

I'm really struggling not to eat tacos anymore. It is soo hard. I feel I might just throw away the new packet of tortillas I just bought. Thing is that I don't even eat tortillas normally but since I made quesabirria tacos recently I've been making tacos a lot now. I'm posting for accountability because I feel that if I don't I will keep sabotaging my hard work.

I just bought a bunch of swimsuits 👙 and I will use that towards my goals.

@laurenc yup! Exactly my thinking. Trying to tone up and I hate muscle resistance exercises so hoping these will encourage me. I've never worn suits like this before but I really want to change my body for the better (stronger).

I use sweet potato strips instead of meat, and I cook in a nonstick pan with some vegetable broth instead of oil. Just recently found the low carb tortillas others are mentioning. The hard part for me is staying away from the cheese and sour cream!

Yes! Actually weighing the weight on my drivers license has always been a goal for me. I think I fudged when I got my first one and upped it once since then, but it has not even been close to right recently. This DietBet should get me most of the way there, but I’ll have a bit more to go to reach my ultimate goal on my drivers license!

  • My January Kickstarter had a great host with engaging questions, challenges, and rewards. One question was “What NON-FOOD REWARDS do you give yourself when you reach a goal?” Lots of people said haircuts, clothes, etc. I decided to buy myself a plant for each Kickstarter I won (I got the idea from another commenter.) Seeing January’s plant makes me happy, reminds me of the hard work I had to put in to get it, and motivates me to stay on track.

    Here’s hoping my weight doesn’t creep back over my February Kickstarter goal this weekend, because while I was in town, I went ahead and bought this cute little guy today!

Hey IF people - when do you exercise in relation to your eating window?

I generally have been eating 12-8pm, but I’m going to get serious about it during Lent (the next 40 days). I like to exercise before a meal - in the evening, it’s no problem, but on the days I exercise before I break my fast at 12 noon, I feel weak and get lightheaded. Anyone else have this problem?

For further reference I’m eating 1200 calories of oats, fruit, veggies, nuts, and occasional lean meat, and I’m expending 2,200 calories according to my Apple Watch. My main exercise that causes the problem is a dance-HIIT or Zumba style video for 45 minutes.

Should I exercise later? Break my fast with a banana or something an hour or two early a few days a week?

I’ve been doing IF and low carb/modified keto for two years. I work out in the mornings in a fasted state. It takes a long time for muscles to switch their enzymes from burning glycogen for fuel (from carbs, including oats and fruit, and sugar) to burning fat. When I’m not in ketosis (fat burning) I experience vertigo/dizziness/light-headedness at about 30 to 40 minutes into a workout, especially if it’s high intensity. When I’m doing well with low carb eating and I’m in ketosis I typically don’t experience the light-headedness, but I religiously drink water or coffee during my workouts spiked with Trace Minerals electrolyte drops and 1/16th teaspoon of cream of tartar (for potassium).

I'm in a similar window (1300-2100). I usually schedule a workout for 1700ish to 2000ish so I can eat at lunch time, have a few hours to digest, and then eat dinner.

Do you have a tuning fork? Odd question probably but it's about 85% accurate. It will detect a fracture, if it hurts you've got a fracture.

You haven't seen a doctor? I agree, you need an x-ray. I was lucky as hell to have my BF's insurance when I fell on the ice in Feb. 2020. I couldn't handle it financially on my own, and he didn't always have a good job, so, I do get it. Ignoring it could make it worse, though.
