  • I got this book from the library and it literally changed my relationship with food. It is about intermittent fasting (not really about Buddha) but it is a short read and gives great information for those who are interested, I lost 40lbs in about six months doing IF. But also studying the habits of the thinnest countries in the world like Japan and France. And slowly changing my eating habits over time. It’s a long game, but it helped me truly enjoy food instead of being obsessed with it. IF is not for everyone and I understand that, but for me it was life changing.

  • Well, I took about 2 weeks off. Didn’t meal plan, didn’t exercise. Ate poorly. My motivation is/was down. Time to get back at it. Sometimes motivation comes after action.

Last night I made a chicken, tons of sauteed mushroom, with barilla garlic pasta sauce all mixed, topped with sprinkle of daiya mozzarella it was amazing! . So far my favorite meal!! Simple n easy!

So, my latest condiment obsession is buffalo wing sauce. Not sure why, but I'm just rolling with it. Yesterday for dinner, chicken and cauliflower (both with wing sauce) Today, for a snack, I stuck about 2 cups of cauliflower in the microwave for 2 mins, then added buffalo wing sauce.
What else low calorie (besides chicken and shrimp) should I eat this sauce on?? I'm thinking maybe some kind of salad...but I am not very creative and would probably add lettuce and chicken and call it a day. 😆

I love buffalo sauce!! I also make a shredded lettuce and chicken buffalo salad, with blue cheese dressing, which I'm not buying that dressing on my diet lol so I'm making my homemade ranch instead. But for me nothing compares to my blue cheese dressing:sob::joy:lol

Sriracha is to me what Buffalo sauce is to you!! Once I found out how good that stuff tasted I could not stop myself from putting it on everything. I got a little ridiculous with it. But it’s so good.

Just figure out what works for u and ur body. If u like to sleep til last minute and start work do that, just make sure u have a breakfast easy prepped at night for the morning? Also who says u need to workout in the morning? Lol Workouts when u want. Whenever works for u , after work, or later in the night. I used to loathe Workouts in the morning. I'd never have the energy or motivation for an workout in the morning especially if I had to force myself to wake up earlier to do so. For me it was never a sustainable way of a life change lol. For me working out my best energy and motivation time was always night times. That was the phase I was in all my life. I could never fathom I'd be a morning person now. That's the phase of life I'm in now. I wake up early and now my motivation and energy is only in the morning for workouts. My body has changed now over time. By the time mid afternoon hits and then evening and then night I'm done for. I'm beat. Pooped. And there's no way I'd be able to get a good workout in nor want to lol!! I just want to go to bed around 9pm haha Day is done, I'm over it! Lol! But Lately I've been forcing myself a few strength training things at night to curb snacking n hunger. But my real workouts have to be in morning. If I really want to sweat and push myself.
Just do what feels natural to ur own internal clock .

Prep and plan as much as you can before bed. I get up at 5:30 now when two years ago I was getting up at 8:00 (which is wholly an unfair comparison because I had a three month old baby two years ago).
I get everything prepped that I can the night before so that when my alarm goes off I am up, dressed and ready to work out. I am in the shower before my kids are up, and I have always been a “wash the day off” shower-er.
My coffee pot is ready to brew and my cup ready to be filled, my protein shake is in the mixer cup waiting for water, my lunch is packed and sitting front and center in the fridge.

  • Worked an overnight, had to come home and sweat it out. Tried making healthier snack choices last night. I’m an ER nurse so there’s no fasting overnight for me. Slept a bit now going to meal prep for back to days tomorrow!

Sooooo, I have some news.

Very unexpected and I’m pretty sure I can’t continue in this DietBet. But I didn’t want to drop off the platform without letting all of you know.

I am pregnant.

This is very much a shock as I didn’t think I could get pregnant anymore. It is considered a high risk pregnancy as I’m in my mid 40’s.

I’ll be sending an email to support to drop out in the next day or so.
