I need to lose 6 pounds this week to meet me goal. Despite sticking my calorie intake and working out mon-fri I somehow gained 2 pounds

I'm in the same boat as you. I haven't been to this gym this consistently in forever and I've been maintaining my weight all week long. It's so discouraging even though I'm proud for sticking to it

Gained about 6 pounds really in the last month (I went up a bit around the holidays but kept in in check) between going on two trips (9 days in Ireland and a weekend in Montreal) and then eating like total crap and failing to workout in the inbetween time. Really frustrated I let it get THAT out of control, so I am ready to refocus and get what I need to done. I’m still in the middle of my journey so to see the number creep back up that fast is making me realize how bad my eating habits are and how I need to get back into what I was doing this time last year when I started.

It’ll all come right back off. I’ve found that the weight climbs back on quickly because of water weight, but as soon as you get back into your normal routine, it’ll be back off within the week. It’s no where nearly as hard to lose it the second time, thankfully :)

It took me a while to fully realize it really is 80% eating habits and only 20% exercise. I didn’t exercise at all in the last two diet bets but still won them both. I am fairly active due to my job and having an elementary school aged child, but no gym or home workouts at all.

  • Does anyone else have the hardest time getting a picture of the scale? The blue light on my scale washes out my weight. I have to take 10+ Picts to finally get it to show the numbers

Do you zoom in or bend down to get the number? I think it works better when you just zoom in.
