I'm sad and want to emotional eat some sugar or chocolate so badly. I've held out for several days. Just trying to tell myself it's because I am sad and eating junk will only make me feel better momentarily; and then probably even worse.

I wrote down in my journal today, "Remember, you want to be trim and healthy more than that snack " Your brain is looking for pleasure to feel better. Keep your focus on your happiness goal instead!

I caved last Friday too...stress from the week sent me to the store for Denali Chocolate Moostracks icecream, Krispy Kreme glazed donuts plus Vanilla Talenti... all gone now. For me, my best bet is to NOT bring it home. Sadness to stress to boredom (on recent road trips) makes me want snacks and sweet treats.
I totally agree with Nicole... my brain wants the sugar rush, my stomach doesn't need it nor the rest of my body.
Cheers to making the food choices today that lead to that happiness of feeling and looking better

I'm dragging myself, kicking and screaming, back on the wagon. Fourth of July totally screwed me up, then my birthday, then OH it's the weekend! Slunk onto the scale this morning at +7 pounds and 10 pounds from my goal for this round. I'm really hoping that at least a few of those pounds are from water because otherwise.. ugh. Absolutely no room for error left this round. Why am I like this? 😭

I’m so happy for these diet bets through cause I would have given up instead of getting back on the wagon. I have never made progress like this! This is all a part of life and I’m happy to have better balance and control. I don’t regret the past few weeks which I know is peersonal growth for me

Done the same thing several times this year (ugh) and a bunch of the weight does come off fast. Totally agree with other posters that a couple good days should drop 6+ pounds. You got this!

Weekend is over and actually I'm just overwhelmed with work. And daily I get new requests for therapy.
I would say to my patients: it's necessary to prioritise in your life what's really important.
For me, further weight loss and improvement of fitness should have prio 1. But my patients are dealing with real severe problems and I don't want to leave them alone.
Sometimes a big dilemma.
Has anyone a good idea how to stay motivated even in difficult and time-narrow situations?

before 6 am is definitely no challenge for me ;-) Stopping by 7 pm. impossible. I'm glad to leave my desk at 8:30. But hard boundaries are a good idea.
I'll think about implementing them.
