I am determined to be able to say I got 10 000 steps in for each day of this challenge, but its especially difficult on the weekends and especially since we have a province-wide police enforced curfew going on.

So I was super proud of myself for waking up early on Saturday, strapping the kids into the double stroller and getting in a 5k walk around town through 30cms of snow.

Until I realized I'd left my fitbit at home to charge!! Argh! Lol. Ended up having to spend an extra hour doing laps around my kitchen island until 11:30pm wearing my 1 year old in order to make up the lost steps, but I made it!

Genna - no! I mean your body knows what you did, but how crummy for your Fitbit not to know it! Walking in the snow is tough work!

I'm not sure how the weather is where you are, but things took a bit of a turn here overnight. It's windy and cold. Granted, I know it's the winter and all. But compared to the 50 degrees and sunny weather we had just yesterday, it is a stark contrast. Hopefully, the weather is nice where you are today!

In case the weather makes it difficult to get your steps in outside, why don't we brainstorm ways we can still get our steps in if we are stuck inside?

- Walk around your house during commercials.

- Have a spontaneous dance party in your living room with the kids.

- Just be as inefficient as possible. Take multiple trips even if you can knock it out in one.

- Take a lap around the store if you're out shopping.

- Of course, opt for stairs over elevator/escalator and park further away to log those extra steps.

What are your favorite ways to get in extra steps?

Happy Friday everyone! I'm a little frustrated. I started out week 1 pretty strong with my eating and went a little off track on the weekend but didn't get totally on track with the eating (exercise is fine and lots of steps) and now I it's my time of the month which is not helping things on the scale. I feel like I have to be very strict with my eating to see results. Any suggestions?

I sometimes dance either alone or with family. But I have also jumped up during a Zoom meeting (it was laid back) and marched in place to get my steps in. :)
