Hi everyone!

Thanks for joining!

I wanted to explain the step challenges. In summary, there is a step challenge every Tuesday, Thursday and weekend. Aside from those individual step challenges, there is one long 28 day step challenge (Challenge #1) which is to log a minimum of 10,000 steps every day of this DietBet: March 22 - April 18.

If you choose to tackle Challenge #1, then regardless of the individual step challenges laid out below, you'll need to get a minimum of 10,000 steps. The only difference is on Tuesdays. If your normal daily step goal (or past seven day average) is 10,000 steps, then you'll need to get an extra number of steps on top of the 10,000. Make sense?

For example, if you are doing Challenge #1 and also Challenge #2 and your daily step goal is 10,000, then you'll need to get at least 10,250 steps in order to be eligible for both challenges.

**February 25 Challenge Check In**

If you logged a minimum 8,500 steps on February 25, then comment on this post.

From those who comment, I will select a winner at random. I will email this person (using the email address associated with his/her DietBet account). ONLY this person will need to provide verification of his/her activity in order to claim the prize. I will accept sweaty selfies showing the date, or screenshots from an activity app you use to track your exercise (i.e. Fitbit, Garmin, Polar, or other device you use).

This person will have 24 hours to reply with verification. If I don't hear back by then, the prize is forfeited. And a new winner will be chosen. The winner will be a choice between either DietBet credits (may be used towards the bet payment of either a DietBet, RunBet or StepBet, awarded immediately), or an Amazon gift card (sent once all step challenge winners are identified).

I pretty much completely do it through diet and watching my calories using MyFitnessPal. I try to increase my steps, but that’s about it. Between chronic migraine and a dislocating tendon in my ankle, I’m pretty limited on exercise.

I eat low carb and do intermittent fasting. I also do heavy strength training (I have the one ton challenge in a couple of werks) and crossfit (total of 6 days a week).

In past DietBets with Jen, I have always seen encouraging posts from other players and I have always gained inspiration from them. I am rather disappointed with the posts in this game as all I seem to see are Fitbit screenshots! Let’s try to encourage each other with our posts or post if you’re needing encouragement and hopefully we can all lift each other up!

I was just in two dietbets and one was beach body and everyone posted sweaty pics! Ug! I cringed every time I opened the dietbet and never posted myself in that one! But I learned to look at the theme of the dietbet. Since this one is a Fitbit theme, I'd expect there to be a lot of screenshots of Fitbits lol.

And don't forget there is a step challenge today. Today's target is to get a minimum of 8,000 steps. Tomorrow there will be another Check In post for you to comment on if you complete the challenge.

I wanted to share a new food that is at Trader Joe's. It's called Spicy Mexican-Style Riced Cauliflower. (Picture of package in comments.) All this week, I've had a deconstructed burrito bowl using this riced cauliflower. I also bought some of the Trader Joe's pollo asado, shredded it and use it along with the riced cauliflower. But you can also use this Skinnytaste recipe to make salsa chicken.

I have added romaine, pico de gallo and some Trader Joe's lite Mexican shredded cheese. And it's filling, tasty and low calorie, too!

The 12 inches of snow we rec'd overnight made me NOT want to get out this morning. I am so thankful for this challenge because it motivated me to move. Plus Challenge#2 is today. Good luck , everyone.
