  • I love the nutrition challenge because it focuses on what we put into our bodies. Second to mindset, I think diet is the part of our weight loss plan that makes the biggest difference. There are a lot of popular diets out there and a lot of eating strategies.

    What works for you? What has come the closest to being your favorite eating strategy for weight loss plan? For me, my greatest success has come from tracking my calories and upping my intake of fruit and vegetables. So what is your current food plan?

I am a binge eater. So I have to measure and/or weigh my food. I also track it in myfitnesspal. I try to avoid a lot of sugar. I don't worry about sugars in small amounts, in condiments and such. I substitute with Stevia and don't over do it on carbs that aren't good for me. I have lots of fruits and vegetables.

I plan my meals out for the week, at least my lunches. I keep a healthy snack on hand for when hunger strikes. I try to drink at least 96 oz. of water a day to keep me feeling fuller. I pack my gym back to work and change there when I clock out. Then go straight to the gym. If I don’t go to gym before I get home, I won’t come back out in the cold lol. So that’s what works for me:)

  • When it comes to sweets and treats, do you cut back or cut out when you are actively trying to lose weight? For me its easier not to take the first bite. However some people are able to satisfy their sweet tooth with small amounts of treats, like a square of dark chocolate. Which side do you fall on. In the long run a healthy lifestyle is easier to maintain if you practice moderation instead of deprivation. So what is your strategy?

  • I hit a new record today on my fitness. I haven’t been this proud of myself in a while! I am diagnosed with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis so working out is really hard for me. I broke it up throughout the day and I walked 4.6 miles!

I'm just chugging along. I did allow myself to go off plan a bit Tuesday but I measured out my portions so I didn't go crazy. And I would have otherwise. Lol

How is everyone doing with their goal weight? I usually go hard the first 2 weeks and the weight comes off fairly good, then I get tired the last 2 weeks & slack off, but try to maintain some form of consistency. It’s hard!

  • Alright so I’m kinda freaking out. One of the appliances I’ve always wanted but could never afford (it’s $550!) is this ice maker that make ice like sonic. I’m obsessed with good ice and it helps me drink more water for sure. Well my fiancée entered a raffle for one and WON! Needless to say I’m totally gonna hit my water goals!

Hi from New Jersey! Ive started my weight loss journey many many times and Im only 22. This time I have finally had enough. My boyfriend and I would like to get married soon but I told him I did not want to until I lose weight. Sounds silly, if your in love, nothing else matters. But I have always been self conscious and would really like to look good in the pictures. I also want to better myself, and become healthier in general. He is on a weightloss journey with me, and its hard but it will be worth it. My dishidrotic eczema has been terrible and I know its because of eating bad all these years. Im really looking forward to challenging myself alongside everyone here. Good luck everyone!
