  • Completed the half marathon. It snowed and the winds were 20mph with 30mph gusts which I was running into for over half of it. It is not the time I wanted but I am still proud of it!! I hit a 10k PB as well.

    (It was a virtual event run by a local charity so I ran it solo and avoided people)

I don't understand how I gained 2 lbs over night even though my food was on point, I exercised and met my steps goal😕

Losing weight is hard. I just need to be strong not to go crazy today because of the frustration. This is the part where I just give up and tell myself maybe I just need to stay here and don't need to lose more weight. I need strength 🙏

Do not give up! The scale is so frustrating but as others have said, it’s only one metric and it WILL move since you are doing the right things. We have so many weeks left in this challenge!

I should have gone to bed a few hours ago... did really good with dinner, got chicken and broccoli from teriyaki place and substituted salad for the rice. Ended up eating half and being full. Put the rest away for lunch tmr instead of eating the whole thing which is what I used to do... but now it's about 5 hours after I ate dinner and I'm hungry and watching Nadiya Bakes and its a bunch of cakes and stuff and I'm getting hungry... and I'm still gonna be good and go to bed after this episode but lesson learned... gonna have a glass of water and call it good =/

Same thing happened to me last night! I mean I wasnt watching baking shows but yeah night snacking is no substitue for sleep, but our bodies think it is


Sometimes I literally just have to brush my teeth and go to bed. I’ll scroll around on my phone in the dark if I’m not tired yet lol.

Hi all. I am really struggling right now. This past week I haven't stuck to my calorie goals, I haven't prioritized water over soda, and I haven't bothered to exercise. It's frustrating because from 2017-2019 I lost 150 pounds. I know what I need to do, what works, and that I can do it. I'm just not doing it right now. I just need to vent and hopefully I can start making progress again.

I hear ya! I took off 20lbs last year but they’re all magically back, and that’s a bummer. I joined this transformer as a kick-start, but haven’t lost a pound. What’s great is hearing that I’m not alone in the struggles, and neither are you. It’s tough. We just gotta get the ball rolling again, which is the hardest part right? Once in motion it feels so good to be powerful and successful in your daily goals. I believe that’s what will get me going again, and hopefully it will for you too.


I totally know what you mean, I have been struggling to get my focus back after having good success in the past. I keep telling myself I know all the things to do, but I’m lacking in motivation. I’m trying to persevere, one day at a time, until that motivation comes back. Venting helps!!! And you are in the right place to find support. Best of luck to you!

  • I made the BEST dessert last night. (6 points on WW blue)
    One apple, thinly sliced, topped with 3 tbsp sugar free caramel, Lily’s chocolate chips, and fat free whipped cream.
    Next time I will only do 2 tbsp of caramel as I feel it’ll be plenty and cuts down on some points.

I've been back on the healthy wagon for 6 months. The first 4 were effortless as I ate healthy and exercised. Then I started to cycle through loosening/tightening my diet. (Thanks to Dietbet accountability, I didn't go completely off the rails). But, that meant that I kept going up and down the same 7 pounds, since Oct. The good news is those 7 pounds are 20 pounds lower than where I started. The bad news is that I'm struggling a bit with pushing through to the next goal. I signed up for this game because it will take me to a weight I haven't seen in 30 years. I knew it would be a challenge. But I'm really struggling...maybe weary of trying hard. (?) I think I need to tighten up my diet, but ease off my exercise a bit (to lighten some time, energy and pressure on myself). I need to find the joy in eating well and feeling good again. Anywhoot. Just "thinking out loud" here. Any advice is welcome.😊

Cooking meals I’m really excited about has kept me motivated food wise. I try to pick healthy things I really want to eat (like homemade sweet potato fries!) and plan my meals around that. That way I’m not feeling mehh about my food.

This is what I have done and my weight loss feels so much easier than when my main focus was on exercising everyday and eating enough to fuel my workouts while still in a deficit. I've stopped doing high intensity interval training and just go on walks for my exercise now, and because I'm not working my body as hard I'm not getting as hungry and having an easier time keeping my calories down/ controlling cravings. I miss my intense workouts because they make me feel super strong, but I'm excited to get back at them when I'm at a healthier weight and it's easier on my body.

I've kind of been off my game lately. It's been so cold where I live that I don't even want to go outside. Plus, my continuing Covid-recovery exhaustion has been really bad the past week. It has been a struggle to even teach the last several days. When I don't feel good, it is way too easy to stop caring about other things, like making healthy food or drinking all my water. But we have a 4-day weekend (off today for a built-in snow day we didn't need & off Monday for President's Day), and I intend to use this as an opportunity to do a personal reset. Just do the next right for me, that means filling up the water bottle, getting in some quality exercise, and making some healthy meals.

The Covid exhaustion is the absolute worst. Have you found anything that helps?

Misti- unfortunately no, not really. Some days I feel good & others I'm so tired. I try really hard to "forgive" myself for being less active on the tired days, but it is hard. If I allow myself some time to rest, it helps. But I've also learned a little movement & slow exercise helps some too. Interestingly, pushing extra hard on the good days doesn't seem to make it worse the next day though.

Covid exhaustion is majorly real, and it is so hard to explain it to anyone who hasn't had it. It's way more than just being tired. I cannot get my family or coworkers to truly understand, and that's frustrating.

Previous to this bet i had been stuck in a plateau for months and although i was able to win this first round i was worried about future rounds and the overall game after completely changing up my diet and really focusing on getting my steps (besides my regular workouts) I have officially broken the plateau and am less than a pound away from the 4th rounds goal! Best feeling ever so freakin proud of myself and the discipline and focus Ive been able to muster these past few weeks, you really can do anything you put your mind to just never give up!!! 😄

  • What do you guys usually have for breakfast? Coffee? Fruits? Toast? Eggs? or skipping it? I’m really curious what works the best for you?

    I used to be the person who cannot leave home for work without a breakfast, I’ve tried porridge and fruits but sour is more like my taste. I’ve also tried skipping breakfast and sipping white coffee all morning, lately also tried low carb and have ham and eggs most of the mornings. Now in round 2 I returned to adding toast to my breakfast.

    I realized I need more slow carbs since I’ve started living a more active life. So my breakfast have been avocado toast with tomato most of the days this week and I think this helps me stay more energized. What is your experience?

Yes, Chipper! Some days I'm surprised how they truly taste like a melted carmel frappuccino or some other fancy Starbucks drink that I haven't had in many months. :D
