    I'm Tayla, your host!

    A little about me - I've been a friendly neighborhood referee for about 2.5 years, i joined the team after years of being a player and seeing that the games DO change lives and I wanted in on that.

    DietBet helped me lose the better half of 80 lbs a few years ago and then I became pregnant with the first of my 2 babes. I'm about 75 down from my highest known weight now and still truckin along...

    The games work for me because I'm just that person that NEEDS outside accountability sometimes to stick to what I want for myself - if you can relate, you're in the right place fo sho.

    So. what brought YOU here? Is this your first game? Most recent game?

  • C25k + weights beforehand for a half hour. I started the morning feeling really tired and struggling but all the good feelings are flowing now at 7:30am!! Woohoo!

So I am Samantha, I decided to join diet bet because I have difficulty being consistent! I started my journey in June- but haven’t gotten the results I would like, if I was more consistent. I hope with the support from everyone and being in this community, I can lose more weight by being accountable.

Also, how does the diet bet work exactly? We each get to our goal weight and split the money? Or if one person loses more, do you get more money?

This is my first diet bet, so just asking. Thanks :)

Ok back at this once again. I have failed my last handful of DietBets because I just fall off half way through. I am determined to get the Covid weight off and back to where I was a year ago...crazy how things can backslide so quickly. The struggle is real!

  • Tuesday, November 10 is the last day of our game. (Tuesday at 11:59 PM PST), is when the game ends. You will have 48 hours to submit your final weigh-in at that point. That means you have until 11:59 PM PST on Thursday.

    **The game will finalize on Friday after the weigh-in period ends.

I lost 8.9 pounds which is nearly 6% of my body weight. I’ve made moving more of a priority again, and my scrubs fit me again! I hated feeling like a busted can of biscuits all day at work! I’m going to take a few days to chill, then join a new bet on Monday! Really grateful for a successful month.

Drink tons of water and eat fruit! Avoid salty, protein rich, heavy or cheap carbs. I also don’t work out, because weight training causes you to retain water in your muscles while they heal, and cardio dehydrates you and gets your body to hang on to water. I sleep well, drink tons of water, do gentle stretchy yoga, and eat juicy fruits or drink fresh juices for my energy needs. Good luck!!

  • My last pound to lose for this challenge is being super stubborn. So...here I am on the treadmill walking and doing business work just so I can try to cram in any last movement and something of a calorie burn that I can. 😬
