  • When a sweet craving sneaks up on you, the answer is always date with natural peanut butter and dark melted (non dairy) chocolate. One does the trick, there’s 4 of us and we absolutely love them. Dates are loaded with nutritious content like fibre, iron, calcium, vitamin B6, even protein as it’s a plant source 🌱

So I didn't lose or gain last week, which is good since I did have a slice of cake and pizza on Saturday. I have 4.2 more pounds to lose. I have brought an exercise band to work with me and every time I get tired or my watch tells me to move, I do 30 reps of anything (of course I mix it up though).

  • Happened across this bread today at my local Publix and thought “why not?”. You guys. It tastes like normal bread. It has a lovely sourdough loaf type texture. I’m over the moon.

  • I was feeling extra hungry this morning, so I made a big brunch. 2 low-carb tortillas, ground beef, cheese, onion and mayo with a dash of hot sauce. I couldn't finish it all.

Beef brisket is cooking for supper 😋

I make my filling and then put it on the tortilla(s) and fry until just crunchy, really hits the spot :ok_hand:

For anyone else who sucks at barbell math…

For my deadlifts I always have my trainer calculate and then call out the plates to load the bar so I don’t get in my own head about how heavy it is. I won’t do the math while I’m stacking, so it’s allllll good. For whatever reason if I know it’s close to my PR or if we’re going heavier for a rep, it feels 1000x heavier than if I don’t know. Long story short the math was off. I did 2x2 with my previous max 😂

You’re a very cerebral trainer. I just put in my Kendrick Lamar and keep stacking. Then I get humble and sit down.

Finally got the courage to weigh in and actually start this challenge! I have already slipped into my same habits of ordering junk on DoorDash but at least I stopped a potential binge-eating episode and put half of my order away. Old me would have continued to binge eat until everything was gone and I would be so uncomfortable. Anybody else struggle with binge eating and any tips on how to stop? Tomorrow is a new day!

No helpful tips…just commit and do it. Make yourself busy. Clean out some drawers or cabinets! Or take everything out of your fridge and clean it!

Therapy! I have binge eating disorder + bulimia ( used to ). The most helpful thing has been therapy and working with providers to work against it + hormonal disorders. It’s hard and a lot of people don’t understand it and the worst thing people can do is to tell someone with BED to simply stop eating or cut entire food groups out. Keto/low carb always ended with me binging and just gaining. There are still some foods I have to just not buy because I will inevitable binge on them, but I don’t cut any certain groups out. I am -100 from my highest weight due to treatment + staying active + being mindful of a *balanced* diet.
