I had a Mirena IUD for the past 3 years, I had it taken out on March 15 and i have gained 3.5 pounds although I’m counting calories and exercising...I have been bloated and cramping since I had it out. My hormones are all over the place. Has anyone had this issue and how long did it take to normalize? I’ve read some horror stories 😳 I want to win this DietBet and be hormone free. I’m freaking out a bit now!

I got my mirena iud out almost 2 years ago and have had terrible acne since no weight gain but but my hormones seem off

Kelsey

I have a mirena currently and was wondering if that’s why I can’t lose weight! Guess I should keep it! But I know it took a while for my body to adjust when it was implanted so I’m sure it’s the same with taking it out.

  • It’s been a long 15 months but I’m finally getting closer to my goals. Only 2lbs from 80lbs down, I can’t wait to see what I will look like when I reach my ultimate goal. IG- @Sashoi

My legs are so sore today. Planned on the gym today but it hurts to even walk around. Why is the second day always worse than the first day after a workout? I've been eating low carb and haven't strayed at all this week with my calories. I ate 4 bites of mashed potatoes well within my macros and gained .6lbs not sure if it's the potato or the soreness but still sticking to the plan. Kinda frustrating knowing I'm doing so well and how bad I ate before with fast food several times a week, carbs, pizza Thai food, now I don't eat any of that and I'm still not losing. I don't get it.

I think your soreness is your muscles retaining water. It sounds like hours doing everything right so just be patient. You got this.

My husband was in the hospital and I never got to do my initial weigh in, can I still do it?

I believe you still can.i hope everything with your husband is okay!

Maria S.

That's rough! Yeah, you can, but at a disadvantage since you now have less time to hit the same goal. Yikes! We are rooting for you, and sending well wishes to your husband!

Looking for some easy meat free meals for meal prepping... any suggestions?! I hate leftover meat, and hate touching it when it’s raw so I think it’s best to just avoid all together haha but I want to make sure I’m getting all the nutrients I need!

  • Started at 312 lbs in December 2017. Lost 32 lbs and kept it off until September. The beginning of September 2018, I weighed in at 280 lbs. I am down 131 lbs naturally. I do home work outs as I am a single mom of three and barely have extra time lol and calorie count. I haven’t been this size since junior high school. From a size 24 to a size 10 currently. I even went on a date with an amazing man Saturday, had food I enjoyed and an adult beverage and the scale still was good to me. My heart is happy.

I was doing so well up until a couple days ago, I started my DietBet off with a smoothie detox and was doing really well until the 6th day when I had a massage binge that lasted a couple days! I weighed myself this morning and I’m back to where I started. Just feel so horrible about myself for undoing all my hard work :(

Echoing everyone else. It's about the changes you can make long term. Gonnabehealthy spoke my mind with this. In the past, any failure meant i had totally failed and suddenly my one guilty cookie that i couldn't say no to was the starting point for a downhill spiral. If that's how you are, allow yourself some guilty pleasures. My big thing this time around is looking at something and going "is this going to make me happy?" When the answer is a big YES, i eat it! The key is it's not all the time, not every meal, not every day. But it allows me to have the Red Robin fries (but get a salad instead of a burger, because it was the fries i really wanted), the occasional hot chocolate or starbucks mocha, and enjoy a bit of cheesecake when I made it for someone's birthday. And you know what? I'm still losing weight. The rest of my eating has changed and really aside from when i get that sweet tooth, I actually want natural, healthy foods. I wasn't made for the no-cheats mindset, so it made me find a way to do this with cheats. A smoothie detox can be great for a detox, but unless that's what you plan on having for the rest of your life, it's okay if that wasn't the answer for you. You still got this :)
