  • Sometimes my brain wants to eat because "it's time to eat" but I'm not truly hungry. This is a great way to feel like I can still have something yummy and sweet, but it doesn't impact the scale at all. And I have as many as I want. There are 6 flavors available, I think, on redrosetea.com. My favorites are Blueberry Muffin, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Caramel Apple Pie. It works cold too, and if I want a lightly flavored water in summer, I add 2 bags to a quart of water. I take it hot or cold in a travel mug or quart bottle anywhere that I think I might be tempted by the smell or sight of other food that I know won't help me get to my goals. Sometimes that means I take 2 travel mugs and 2 quarts at once. 2 Hands on the Wheel is an effective strategy. I wasn't a tea chick before, but I sure am now.

  • Yesterday was my birthday so I didn’t have a great day of dieting but I was mindful and instead of cake I had some Lite beers. Today I am starting my day with a snicker doodle smoothie. I got this recipe on a previous Diet Bet and it is so delicious!! Here is the recipe if any of you want to try it.
    Snickerdoodle Smoothie
    1/2 cup ice. 1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup almond milk
    1 chopped medjool date
    1 TBL spoon almond butter
    1 TBL spoon old fashioned whole grain oats
    1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
    1 tsp chia seeds
    1 tsp cinnamon ( you can use less if you like)
    1/2 banana
    1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (optional)
    Blend all together and enjoy!!😋

Maybe try celebrating with non food related items! A pedicure or an outfit, maybe go rent a paddle board ! Something that still works with your goals hehe

I had tons of water yesterday. Was nervous about dinner, I made chicken pot pie and had 1 1/2 biscuits. Still a weightloss day. Super excited!

I am looking for new ways to force myself to have more water but here are the problems...

1) I cannot stand flavored water. It is gross to me no matter the flavor combo and it tastes like bad kool aid

2) due to a medical condition I cannot do carbonation and I cannot drink out of straws.

What other ways have to gotten yourself to drink more?

Try a different water maybe too, like electrolyte water. I can drink smart water so quick because it’s smoother idk lol

Switch up your water bottle now and again (straw vs no straw). It helps sometimes

  • My first 2 days were great too. I just bought my dog walking shoes so I can't use the excuse of "the sidewalk is too hot for him so we can't go for a walk"

  • First breakfast on plan. I know it’s not perfect but it’s better than usual ! 1 egg, 1 egg white, yellow bell pepper, spinach red onion a sprinkle of 2% shredded cheddar And 1 piece of bacon. Lemon water to drink.

Excited to start today! My main plan is to eat healthy, not to snack on any junk foods. Move more and start Exercising daily. Oh and Drink more water. I plan on checking in daily to keep myself accountable and involved.
