- Made it, about 40 pounds down and beat my 10% by 10 pounds. Did it by sprints uphill, doing push-ups daily (adding one each day), keto and intermittent fasting. And the support I got here. As I posted earlier, my labs show I’m no longer diabetic or high cholesterol, so I didn’t have to start those pills prescribed for me.
I want to thank dietbet, if you look on my abdomen there are four scars from my ruptured appendicitis, with two surgeries in Jan and March 2021. I never completed the dietbet that year and they refunded me 100%. 2022 was going to be “the year” instead, and I’m glad I made it.
For those who have a hard time sticking to it, don’t worry. The average person takes 5-10 tries to kick a bad habit like poor dieting and inconsistent exercise. Don’t ever give up! It also helps to have a list of reasons to remind yourself why you are doing it. My goals were: 5. Set good example for my kids and patients 4. Not have to be on medications 3. Get rid of my reflux at night 2. Make the weight limit to jump on trampoline with my kids 1. Impress the wife.
Still want to lose another 10% weight to get to a final goal of 210 pounds, although at that point I’d still be considered “obese”. Isn’t the BMI system a little crazy?
