Non-scale victory of the week!

Turning down food I know I shouldn’t eat when I’ve set a short term goal for myself to be extra strict on my juice cleanse.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

This past week, and the week before that, I found myself really splurging a lot. I’m reaching the point in my weight loss where this usually happens. Somewhere around 220/230 I burn out and go nuts with my food intake, and it takes me so long to get under control again that I usually gain back all I lost and THEN some. I’m trying to be aware of that tendency, and to actively work hard to make sure that’s not something I repeat this time. I want to see, for once, what happens if I don’t quit.

Stay focused on my short term goal. It’s easy to get discouraged by how much I have to lose, but when I focus on smaller goals that’s a huge boost to my confidence.

I did AMAZING while I was out of town! I stuck to the healthy snacks I brought for myself and my “splurge” was dinner — which I still tracked and kept within my points. I’m SO PROUD of myself!

Non-scale victory of the week!

This week I did a good job of getting right back on track even after a challenging weekend that saw me eating a lot higher calorie things than I probably should have. Yesterday I managed to have a treat and still stay within my points! DietBet is really helping me keep those shorter term goals front and center on my mind, which is making it a lot easier to face the number of lbs I would like to lose.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Gone into the weekend with a better plan. When it comes to last minute decisions, I usually err on the side of “well, it just came up so I HAVE to do this and that means what the heck why not have a cheeseburger”. Which is fine sometimes but will definitely set me back if I let that happen every time something is unplanned.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I have had several opportunities this week to eat yummy things that I should steer clear of. I’m not good at “just one bite”. That usually turns into several days of eating poorly. I’m very proud of myself this week! Even with my parents out of town, I stuck to my points and tracked all my food. It’s a really good feeling! I’m starting to feel better and WANT to stick to my points more now than feeling like I HAVE to. I’m starting to see my success and want to keep my momentum up rather than going backwards again. I really feel like this is it — this is going to be the time I hit my goal. With a lot of hard work, prayer, and strength from the Lord. I’m so excited to continue this journey!

Non-scale victory of the week!

I more or less got back to better eating after being out of town! Not perfect, but still an improvement. And it was very nice getting back into my routine. I LOVE to travel, but for weight loss... well, let’s just say I’m already not the greatest at telling myself no, and that goes even MORE so when I’m out of town.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Definitely gave in to the sugar cravings more than once. I need to spend a few days off sugar to see if I can’t get that under control again!

Focus on my goals for the end of this DietBet and for the end of my Transformer. Set my sights on where I’ll be after and work on telling myself NO to the foods that will hinder not help my progress.
