I was doing so well and was even below my needed weight for the month. I went away for the weekend and “gained” 5 lbs. I know it’s probably bloat and water weight but does any one have any tips to get rid of it in enough time for weigh in? 😱

  • LETS TALK BODY IMAGE!

    I know it's hard in most societies to be overweight. Movies, magazines, social media can be a tough thing to see day in and day out. Even harder is when you don't like what you see in the mirror.

    I have struggled with body image my entire life. I am 6'3 and have gone from a chubby kid to multi-sport athlete. After several injuries, I found my self going from 250# at 9% body fat to 250# and 37%.

    After a long recovery and a horrible self-image, I overdid it and dropped to 187#. This was followed by years of bouncing between good shape and severely overweight.

    Now, I am taking a much more balanced approach. . I am feeling better about my body inside and out. While I would love to be shredded all over, today I am going to celebrate the fact that I love my calves!

I LOVE my shoulders! Kinda funny because not many people have “fat shoulders”, but I think mine are shapely and I like my arms but I’d love them to be firmer. Unfortunately, I can’t “love” them into that shape so I’ll have to use will power and dedication to achieve the results I want.

I love your calves! I've always hated how thick my thighs are, but since working out they have become stronger and I am learning to love them more

If you want to feel like you are treating yourself, I like to eat plain air popped popcorn. I also like berries in Greek yogurt or I'll do a colorful veggie plate. If you want something sweet, a low calorie ice cream like Halo Top might be a good choice or you could try making your own fruit popsicles. Good luck!

I really like Protein One bars. They are made by the Fiber One company.
Overall when I find myself starving, I look at my protein intake. Usually when it’s low, I get hungry! I’m not doing Keto or any specific diet outside of calorie counting, but I’ve found increase protein (eggs, bacon, turkey, ham, cottage cheese with fruit— a new favorite!) has helped keep me satiated and not binge.
