    As we are getting closer to the end I want you to keep your “why” in mind. Why are you doing this? What drives you? I want to hear everyone’s “why”

    Post here in the comments (or make a separate post) what your “WHY” is. WHY do you want to lose the weight/get healthy? What drives you? My why is always my babies. Losing weight has allowed me to be the absolute best, most active mom that I can be. And that means the world. I wanted to be healthy, but I also wanted to be happy. Keep your why close by. Whenever you feel discouraged always think of WHY you started in the first place.

    I LOVEEEEE seeing everyone’s transformations. So motivating and inspiring 😭 I am so dang proud of every single one of you

    Sometimes (especially when first starting or when stuck at a certain weight) we can get discouraged not seeing a physical transformation. Which is why focusing on NON SCALE VICTORIES can help keep us going!

    How are your clothes fitting? Can you go longer on the treadmill? Your Fitbit band is fitting more loose. SO MANY. This was my favorite. Being able to wrap my towel around my body. But when I FIRST started , having to pull my pants constantly was annoying but such a good non scale victory for me!

One of my NSV’s has been saying YES to participating in events with my friends and family instead of saying no for fear of how people would think I looked. I spent almost 20 years saying NO to everything. Every time I say YES and show up to ANYTHING it’s a NSV!!

  • So if you were in my previous DietBet you’ll remember when I talked about starting to think about your “reward” for finishing this game! Yes, I said finishing, not winning. Remember that no matter how much you loose, no matter if you hit the 4 week goal, you are still a winner. You joined. You challenged yourself. You hopefully made yourself better physically and mentally.

    So when the game is over, I know a lot of people like to celebrate with food! Which is A OK WITH ME!!!! In moderation of course! Enjoy and move on!!! But I would love to encourage some non food related rewards as well! When this game is over I do NOT want you to think “ah I’m done! Free for all!!!!!” And go back to old habits . I want you to start finding other ways to treat yourself.

So here's a broader question. I want to start another kickstarter the same day this one ends. Can I use the pictures I submit for final weigh in for THIS kickstarter for the first weigh in of the next one?

Yes you can! When they confirm your weigh in just go to the new bet and when you click weigh in it will give you the option to use previous or submit new and you can use the one you’ve just submitted

So my weight is stuck for over a week now.... Drives me nuts since I have 1.7kg to lose 😣 can do it though. Lots of water and hopefully weight will move finally. I'm eating 1200-1400 kcals a day, doing 25min strength training and walk for 45-60 min 5-6 days a week. This used to work great for me but now it seems to not cut it anymore. What are your strategies? Any advice? Many thanks 🙏

It may be a little trial and error but I’ve been here many times—you may need to shock your body out of routine. I cycle different attacks. 1) Pick a day and shock the body with double calories (one day), or 2) I up my calories by about 100 to see if my increased training is requiring more intake, or 3) increase training intensity.

Or a combo of the three. I’ve had different levels of success with breaking plateaus with each of these.

Good morning team,

Happy Friday!!! Is this game flying by or is it just me? I am so, so, so proud of myself so far this game. Not even scale related (although I'm trying) but more so NSV and just really finding my groove again post-surgery. The last 3 weeks I have really shown up for myself and you cant put a price on that.

How are you all doing? Heading into our 2nd to last weekend and I hope you are feeling good and committed. I know its super easy to be excited and pumped up the first 2 weeks then the motivation can drift BUT ONLY IF YOU LET IT. I am doing my best to keep you all motivated and ready to tackle each day as it comes. We all have our ups and downs, myself included, but we also all have power inside of us to over come those bad days. Even if over coming them means picking yourself up the next day and pushing forward. It is so important to not let too many bad day pile up. We can really set ourselves back if we allow the bad days to overpower us. I know some times its hard, and it does feel like there's no point in the effort you are putting in. I get it. I have felt these exact feelings, you are allowed to feel those things just don’t wallow them. I'm really challenging any of you that are having a pity party to dust yourself off for the rest of our game. Yes, I know there's someone reading this that wants to throw in the towel or might have already. DON'T GIVE UP ON YOURSELF! What can you do from today forward to improve your situation?

I am proud of everyone who is showing up every day. I see you all! Keep your posts coming, workout check-ins, meals you are eating. Lets keep our game active this weekend it helps me personally a lot. Days I don’t want to work out I log on and see what you all are doing & I'm automatically motivated to get it done.

Challenge 5 & 6 will be posted this evening for saturday and sunday.
Both challenges are cardio.

Motivated for sure even though my exercise is all over the place with a return to school in progress. I’ve been keeping my portions in control pretty well and love seeing little movements on the weigh ins.

  • Hello fellow DietBetters! I’ve been MIA because I got married 10/10/2020❤
    I have to share something with you all! So, I have excess skin on my lower belly that I plan to eventually remove, but for now I do what I can to hide it. My dress was made with a corset, so it could be tightened to hold me in where I need it most. Well, I tried my dress on about 2 weeks before the wedding and I still had room for tightening, so I was good. However, the day of the wedding I found I had lost too much weight... yes, I said TOO MUCH, but only because I couldn’t tighten anymore where my lower belly needs it most. Needless to say, I counted it as a win and felt amazing in my dress anyway! Now, I need the motivation to get back on track! I posted a couple of pictures in the comments as well.

  • I realized I didn't post yesterday. I got in week 5, day 5: Lean Legs Blend. I also added 10 minute Lower Body Ignite bonus from mbfa. My legs were done! I got my water in and my steps ended at 9,106.

    1 thing I’m proud of: sticking to healthy eating and my water even though I am sick. Water tastes so gross when you’re sick lol but I swear it’s what has helped me recover faster!
