Despite having 2 broken legs at the moment, I am still eating well and doing what I can with weights. So just arm exercises right now. But I can tell my core has become stronger out of necessity. Moving between the wheelchair to a chair, couch (where I sleep right now), shower chair, etc., I have become stronger. Trying to find a silver lining with this.

Hey all. I'm really sorry, but I need to vent. Last night, I was at my parents house & my Mom & I were discussing someone we know who had weight loss surgery. My mom didn't know she'd had the surgery, but I follow her on Instagram so I was telling her what she had to do before, etc. and it was just a friendly discussion. My mom began praising her, which is awesome (I was too) for all the work she's put in because this girl is very proud. Out of now where my mom says, "YOU could get that surgery!!" I've been on ups and downs since losing a large amount of weight, but this kind of hurt my feelings. I don't have any problem with having weight loss surgery and it's a great option, but I've been losing the weight steadily on my own & I am working on my binge eating. It was just just like an oh damn, okay, so what I'm doing still isn't good enough....

Trust me I totally get that my moms the same way with me… telling me to go run, asking how the progress is going( which it’s finally going good for once) you’re not alone girl!


That’s a bummer. It’s tough when parents bring us down with what they say. Try not to attach emotionally to it. I know that’s easier said than done.

I'm sad to say that my kitty, Yuta, passed over the rainbow bridge yesterday. She had a lot of health issues and they finally caught up with her, but the vet said she didn't feel any pain.

She was my best friend and she made me feel very loved every day. I picked her for my profile picture when this Transformer started and I plan to keep her there until the end.

Hug your pets and friends extra tight for me today.

Laura Dixon‘s Naturally Thin for Life podcast was the first thing that ever helped me with binge eating.

I realized that my binge eating was ALL emotional…could be as simple as “I’m tired/overwhelmed/stressed.” And once I realized that, it was easier to tell myself, “you are feeling X. Food doesn’t solve this. How will you feel tomorrow morning if you try to solve this emotion with food?” I highly highly recommend her podcast

So, I know this will probably change with weight fluctuations and the like, but I'm happy and want to share:

I am currently beating my final Round 6 goal as of this morning.

I don't want to count my chickens before they've hatched and I still have a long way to go before I'm content with my weight, but I'm happy with my progress so far.

My daughter and I were grocery shopping one day and I bought a rotisserie chicken. We started eating it as soon as we were in the car. Then, when we got home, she ran inside and told her father I bought a chicken, so he came outside expecting to see me carrying in a bird, like that one time I went to visit a friend and came home with a rooster I'd taken from a lady who wasn't allowed to have roosters. (I had 6 hens at home at the time. We've hatched so eggs, so now I have 4 roos and 7 hens.)

I made it! I focus super hard on diet last month. It was the only facet that I was able to consistently control. It’s still the beginning of a new school year so aside from running around the school all day I haven’t been able to commit to big exercise changes like I want to.

So that’s my goal this month! I know I’ve got successful eating habits formed! It’s time to start exercise habits too! 3 to 5 days a week is my goal this month! Even if it’s walking the neighborhood pushing my son on his trike!
