Inside, squats, afternoon, walking, strength, arm days are easier than leg day but I need leg days ( bottom heavy)so I do it more often, solo, mountain climbers

I'm now down 16 pounds from January 1. Feels so good to see the number go down on the scale. I can see the difference in my face and my clothes are fitting better (jeans are even loose - my waist is down 3.5 inches from Jan 11 -- I hadn't taken measurements prior to that). My hips are only .5 inches smaller and I am bottom heavy.

I'm holding off on trying on my jeans the next size down (I have lots of clothes in smaller sizes and only 2 pairs in what I call my current FAT pant size). I'm holding off until I hit the 20pound mark to try on the small jeans since I don't want to be discouraged if they don't fit yet.

How much weight do you find you have to lose to see the difference and fit into smaller clothes?

Congrats on that loss, well done! I'm almost 15 lbs down and still in my fat jeans... my problem was that I was literally bursting out of my fat jeans before I started so now they fit

Sheri C - me too! I refused to buy clothes in a larger size so only had 2 pairs of jean I could get into and it wasn't pretty. With covid and working from home I spend most days in PJs or yoga pants. Some of my PJ bottoms are now sliding down on me so I can see progress. Can't wait to ditch the fat jeans!

    Has anyone found themselves going off the rails because they couldn't get this healthy living thing just perfect?

    Maybe you made some great choices all day, but then dinner came around and you made less than optimal choices and beat yourself up about it the rest of the night into the morning. Or, if you didn't stick to your "perfect" plan you found yourself saying, "tomorrow I will..."

    This is your reminder that perfection is the enemy of progress.

    Remember to give yourself grace. It's a series of small habits that will help you make lasting changes. Those other small choices can be easily overcome rather than being the reason you go completely off course.

    How do you feel about the weigh-in being one week away? Just checking in here means you should be proud of yourself!

Well, I've lost a lil bit, gained a lot, lost it, gained it, and lost it again. Now I'm working on losing more to hit my goal. It's been a roller coaster of a scale this month, but the positive thing is the gain has been lost and I am still confident I can meet my goal. :smirk:

Also, let's focus on the fact that, even if we don't hit the mark, the percentage left to lose decreases each month after this weigh in. So, the next round should be a little less scary. :thumbsup:

  • Well, I’ve been officially up 2 pounds and it’s held steady for the last two weeks. (Prob not water weight!) This is despite 7 days per week of #mbf, and 7 days per week of getting my daily step goal at night (13000 steps or more), and meticulously weighing/logging my calories through MyFitnessPal. Fitbit estimates my daily calorie burn to be around 2300 per day, so I’ve been eating 1600 calories per day. I am going to try lowering down to 1400 and see how I feel. Even though the scales not budging (actually going up!), I am not feeling discouraged at all because I’ve been living a really healthy life! But I am determined to lose some body fat so I’m open to tweaking my diet until I see results. It just gets so much harder once you become middle aged! Thank goodness I am lifting weights again because I know that will help me so much long term.

With that my exercise, I would consider increasing your calorie intake!

I’ve found that in the past my weight has stayed the same but my measurements have changed. Maybe take your measurements and track your progress that way. Especially if you’re lifting weights, because you could be gaining muscle and losing fat. The scale might not be changing but your body is.

I updated mine to 600, since I had always met or doubled the one initially set (340). 600 is easy to achieve with a 30 min walk with my dog and 30 min on my spin bike. Other than that I work from home so am at my desk all day.
