Hi all,
My name is Tina. I started my weightloss journey 3 years ago weighing over 340lbs. Over the first 2 years I had lost 100lbs. Last year in 2015 I set a goal to run a half marathon in Nov of 2015. My training for the half marathon and all other activity came to a stop when in June of 2015 out of nowhere I had chronic back pain and and was basically in my bed for 2 weeks. At first I was told it was a back spasm. After getting an MRI it turns out that my L3 disc in my back has ruptured. At this time the neurosurgeon does not recommend surgery as I just don't have enough pain to justify surgery. Through physical therapy we have managed to stabilize the pain. I was out of activity for 6 months and gained 30lbs. I am here to finish my commitment I made to myself in 2014 which is to become the healthiest version of myself! I look forward to this journey! Let's kick some butt!

I feel your pain Tina, literally. I have had two spinal surgeries. I am proud that you are not giving up. Pain can drain your willpower and energy, but a support system can help hold you up. Thank you for sharing!
