Are you one of those people that do well all week, then the weekend hits and BAM!  It's ON!  I know I am... some weekends.

I was reading an article on tips to avoid binging at night and over the weekends.  Good advice: mindful eating, choosing a healthy snack over junk food, keeping your hands/mind busy... getting plenty of rest.  Everyone just may need to stop and see what works for each individual.

For me, I used to have an "all or nothing" attitude.  When I would fail on eating healthy early in the day, I'd just tell myself "well... great... my day is shot so may as well enjoy it."  Then, by the evening I had consumed waaaayyyyy too many calories and felt horrible about my choices.  Why do we beat ourselves up striving for perfection?  Last time I checked, we weren't Jesus... we're not perfect.  We fail, we cave into cravings (which sometimes is OKAY) and we don't always eat 100% clean.

One thing I like about the plan I'm on is the attitude that "you can reset in 3 hours".  If you have an off-plan choice, enjoy it but MOVE ON.  Reset your mindset back to your healthy habits at the next meal/snack time.  Makes sense, doesn't it?  Avoid that slippery-slope.  Again, I'm not perfect I CAN and DO fail,... but it's nice to know I DON'T have to be perfect... it's a journey, right?
