What are the keys to my success?

  3. Making healthy choices 

I was missing something from that list. It took me awhile to figure out but I am glad I did. It was CONFIDENCE. I did not realize how much doubt I had in myself. I needed to stop the negative talk in my mind and to live in the moment. I put so many restrictions on myself because of my size.

Putting action to my now positive thoughts were crucial. I joined a new gym with my husband last week. I was checking out their class schedules and all the new classes they had to offer. Hot Yoga came up and it looked and sounded great! I remember seeing the group coming out of class drenched in sweat and smiling. Then my negative thought hit....

I am too big to do yoga....I do not know any of the moves....People will think I am a joke. In a mere 10 seconds my excitement for the class was gone. Then I caught myself! I was losing confidence in myself and my bodies abilities. So what did I do? I went to that Hot Yoga class the next morning. 

I walked in there with my head held high and my new adorable yoga mat. I sat down with the group and started stretching. I scanned the room and saw so many different types of people. Big, small, old, and young. 

90 minutes later I walked out of that class with a huge smile and a drenched shirt of sweat. I felt so strong and so proud of myself. Did I take breaks during the class? Yes! It was challenging but I kept going. Did I know all the moves? No! But every time I go to that class I will be getting stronger and more knowledgeable.

Do not hold yourself back. Take the classes that you are interested in. Shut down that negative self talk. Believe in yourself. Every single moment you go against yourself you are gaining CONFIDENCE.
