Yesterday, I promised myself that I would break out the weights and work out with them today. Well, the 7 through 30 pound dumbells stayed on the rack, but I had a go at it with the 5 pounders. I'm coated with sweat and my muscles are feeling great. The New ME Diet has a great section on the Spark workout, and it only takes 20 minutes. Best workout I've had in 3 months. Think the thighs will be talking to me tomorrow--lots of lunges and squats mixed in with the dumbell lifts.
Yesterday I had bad munchies about 8 or 9 PM. Well, I think I figured out why. I had written down all the food I ate, but I hadn't logged it into the computer until after my little 200 calorie chocolate binge. Turned out, I had only eaten about 1050 calories of food through dinner, and my body was telling me that it needed more food. I just wasn't listening to it. I probably would have been just as happy with a hard boiled egg and a piece of fruit. (Not that the chocolate wasn't wonderful!)
So my successes are working out and understanding why I ate food late in the evening.
