So I have been overweight for most of my life. When I graduated high school, getting ready for the military, I managed to get down to 125lbs. Before actually signing my paperwork to go, I found out that I was preganant and my plans changed. I did gain a lot of weight during the pregnancy. The day I went in the hospital to have my daughter I weighed 203lbs. Shortly after I had dropped down to 180lbs to soon find out we were expecting again. With my second pregnancy I gained a lot more weight. The day I gave birth to my son I weighed in at 264lbs, my heaviest weight ever. This was in 2006. From then I did drop weight, but would always gain it back. For years I would never really even bother with a scale. A few years ago I did decide to live a healthier lifestyle. I started with cleaner eating, running, and just being more active. This was around 2012, and I weighed in at 225lbs. I am sure I was heavier, but like I said I avoided scales. I was enjoying being more healthy and did start dropping weight. It was a slow and steady pace, but I got down to 175lbs and felt great but of course was not at my goal yet. In late 2013, the doctor switched my birth control and guess what.... pregnant. This time was different though. I had started gaining weight and of course started eating more. When I went for my first ultasound, I learned I was having a miscarrage. Since then it has been so hard to lose weight and very easy to gain. I have had blood work done and everything came back fine. So I am just trying to be patient and keep pushing through. I want to be healthy and set a good example for my children.

Kendra,Thank you for sharing your story. Sorry for your loss I have had friends who have gone through that and its never easy. It sounds like you are trying to stay positive and push through these hard times. One thing I have found for me anyway when I start to slip is switch things up. Never stick to long to the same work outs, that just get boring. Keep things new and have fun with it. Its ok to laugh when we are working out so hard. Good luck with your goals.
