I need to lose over 60 lbs to get back to a normal BMI.   I was recently in the hospital and at 52 I realized I have to make some radical changes in my diet and lifestyle.   I have not always struggled with my weight.  I was heavy after my 3 children were born, and used a high protein low carb diet along with walking to get back to a healthy weight of around 148.  Over the last 7 years that has gradually grown and I am not healthy right now.  The recent hospitalization has led me to a high fiber diet, I am giving up artificial sweetners,  and trying to get enough protein daily.   I have struggled with excercise and I need to get better with that.  I also struggle with eating fruits and vegetables.  I drive a lot and have a lot of meetings so eating a healthy lunch has also been hard.  I also frequently work late which results in having to throw together a quick dinner or ordering out, both of which are disasterous to a diet.   It takes time to cut up fruits and vegetables.   Fiber One products are my new best friend to try to supplement my diet.  I have also increased my water intake and I am focused on getting enough water daily.  Otherwise, I am happier than I have ever been in life.  Like my job (although if I could afford it I would retire tomorrow), love my husband, and my kids and grandchildren.  I know my spouse supports me on my journey and together we will get this done.
