I've been undergoing treatment for Anal Cancer since December 2014.  Unfortunately Colo-rectal cancers run in my family. As many know cancer involves countless Dr. visits and follow-ups. Following chemo and radiation I did lose some weight but that was quickly gained back as the treatment threw me into menopause.  When I was diagnosed I decided that I was going to lose this weight once and for all. Start treating myself better and doing things I enjoy. I am going to stop putting it off for "when I lose weight".  I have done so, camping trips, swimming, walking with my dog etc. Not just sitting in the recliner anymore.

I went for my 6th month check-up yesterday (I have one check up per month) My nurse comes in gets my info etc. and says the Doctor will be right in. Knock on the door it was the nurse again; she goes Dana I've noticed you have lost a significant amount of weight since last month. Is everything okay? Have you experienced a loss of appetite?  I chuckled to myself and said no, I'm trying to lose weight. My appetite is alive and well.  She smiles and asked how I've been doing it as she would like to lose weight.  I told her it actually has been quite simple since I found the MyFitnessPal app. I also told her how I get motivation from the Dietbet site as well.  She seemed excited so maybe we will see her around here soon =)
