This week was GREAT!! I really pushed myself to do better, and while I did have a few slip ups who knew tonic water was basically soda?? I walked out of my Weight Watchers meeting having lost 3.6 lbs, gaining another 5lb sticker, and being only 2lbs away from another 10lb ribbon! So needless to say I am feeling great!! The numbers don't match up (13.5lbs on here, 18lbs in WW) so as always that is a little confusing. It also doesn't help that my starting weight at WW was 2lbs higher than my starting weight on my first bet. But I am basically just taking my WW numbers as the truth because their scale is much better than mine.
One thing that I think really helped me this week was going grocery shopping and seeing fresh bagged spinach being on sale. I didn't know how much I loved spinach salads! I top them with 2 tbsps of Bolthouse Farms yogurt ranch dressing and I am set for lunch at only 1pp!! I do have my little snacks throughout the day yogurt, fruit, string cheese, etc to keep me going, but having something fresh and delicious for lunch, with such a low points value, I think has done wonders for my motivation. Next weekend will be my first in three weekends that I am not going out with friends or having a party crazy party animal, I know! so I am anxious/excited to see how not having party food to deal with over the weekend will help with my losses come Monday.
I am really looking forward to sticking with it this week and hopefully getting that ribbon at my next meeting! I bought new tupperware specifically designed for meal prep, so once I get through the meals I had already made for this week I will be starting fresh literally! next week with another batch of delicious spinach and pepper salads for lunch, and some fresh fruits to go with. I have been slowly building my recipe book, and have a bunch of meals that are quick and easy to make so I will be motivated to just cook and eat well, both for lunch and for dinner.
