I had a FANTASTIC week!! Down 4.2lbs for a total of 22.2lbs overall! I got a second 10lb ribbon at my Weight Watchers meeting, I am 5lbs away from my 10% keyring, and I am one step closer to my goal! Seeing these results is really motivating me to keep doing what I am doing because it is working! The ladies at my meeting are noticing my accomplishments every week, and are proud of me and that really helps too. Everyone was asking me what I was doing to succeed so well and that made me feel so good.
With all of these successes, I know I am ready to tackle the holiday season and push through. I had a "friendsgiving" last night with my roommates and a bunch of our friends, and it wasn't that bad! I did indulge, but not nearly as much as I would have in the past. I did have a plate full of my favoritesĀ turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, grean beans, sweet potatoes, glazed carrots, gravy, cranberry sauceĀ but I tried for smaller portions of each, and only had one plate! I feel like most people pack it in when eating at Thanksgiving, and I recognized that I was full and stopped eating. I also made a few WW approved treats garlic parmesan biscuits and apple streusel and my guests really liked them! This goes to show that WW is not a "diet" it is a lifestyle change! I was also able to get in 10,000 steps yesterday, which is double my daily goal, just from walking around the kitchen making all the food!
My goals for the rest of this week are to eat good meals to make up for my indulgence last night. I have spinach salads for the rest of the work week, plus peppers and carrots, with Bolthouse Farms yogurt ranch dressing. Dinners will probably be a mix of tuna/egg salads, turkey sandwiches, and salads. I can't wait to see what happens next week! Keep on trucking everyone!
