Weighed in this morning. I started at 168.8, then went up to 171 around New Years Eve - too many cocktails and just so much food. Didn't workout Thursday (though I did do some rather intense house cleaning in anticipation of our party) or Friday (hungover).

All that being said, yesterday the husband and I did Kenpo X (kicked my butt for sure) and today I weighed in at 169. So I'm roughly where I started. And still confident that I can pull through in time. My biggest issue now is just getting over this awful cold I've had for about a week. It's been difficult to shake it, but I'm hoping. I'm still working out, but it makes it rather painful. Also, I'm just freaking sick of coughing. haha. Such a baby...

I also managed to hit my water intake goal 4 times this week (over 64 oz). For some people, this isn't an accomplishment at all, but I generally have one cup of coffee in the morning and then drink nothing until I have a beer in the evening. Yesterday I drank 118oz of water. That's the practical equivalent of drowning in my world ;) I'm hoping all of the water will help this cold go away as well. It would make all of these extra trips to the bathroom much more worth it. haha

Today's plan is to minimize caloric intake and do a relatively lengthy workout. That will give me 5 days this week (I start my "weeks" on Mondays). That's more than I've worked out in months and months, so even if I didn't lose any weight, it's still an incredible accomplishment for me. I'm going to choose to be proud of myself :)

Because Kenpo killed my shoulders and arms yesterday, my original plan to do some strength training is out the window. I'm just too sore, and I want to take things relatviely slow. Instead, I think I'm going to focus on steps and floors. Can't go outside to walk (too cold, particuarly with being sick), so I'm thinking I'm going to get on my little elliptical doodad for the length of a movie and do the stairs in my apartment 20 or so times.

So that's that. I may not have met much numerical progress yet, but I'm in it to win it still! Let's do this.
