Morning weigh-in: 154.4

Goal weight: 155

I can't believe how fast this last week went. There were a few days when I truly struggled with eating properly. My time of the month arrived yesterday, so the hormones have my willpower in a real rut. Nonetheless, I've managed to maintain. And hopefully once the bloating subsides, it will come with an even lower number on the scale!

Been cooking regularly still - Saturday I made a buffalo cauliflower salad that was delicious. Last night, a ground turkey/sweet potato skillet that I liked, but the husband wasn't too fond of.

This weekend will be the real challenge - we're going to be traveling from Thursday night until Sunday. Obviously that limits our options, but again, it's not about deprivation and not enjoying my meals out. It's about making good decisions *most* of the time. That being said, Adam and I are both going to have to do a final weigh-in, so we will be making good decisions pretty much all the time this weekend. haha.

It's crazy to think there are only 5 days left!! I'm really proud of his progress. He's so close to hitting 200, and I know that would make him feel fantastic. Just has to keep at it! I'm really proud of my progress as well. While it's definitely true I could have hit my workouts harder, that willpower is definitely the bigger problem in my weight-gain. Creating better eating habits for myself is going to in the long run do more good, I think. I want to focus on being more active once I've got a good handle on that (even after the Dietbet is over). I think the move will really help with that. We'll be living in a new city and wanting to explore. Besides, it looks like there are some amazing hiking spots around Nashville!

At any rate... going to hop on my elliptical for a bit today. Have to do a few things for work, and then run some errands. Breakfast will be oatmeal or yogurt. My lunch for the last few days has been not so great nutritionally, but I've been keeping the calories limited. Out at the market I bought this German bologna that is just amazing, and the sample people got me at Trader Joe's. English cheddar with Italian truffles... mmmm. So not a terribly filling lunch, but so good. And at least low-carb... though today I might just do leftovers for lunch. Dinner I think is going to be this Morrocan Carrot Red Lentil Soup I found on Pinterest.

Good luck in the final push, everyone! You can do it :)
