Morning weigh-in: 156!!!!!

Goal weight: 155

I did a serious happy dance when I got on the scale this morning - at least as much of a happy dance as I could with my legs feeling like they've been run over by a truck. Wedding photography is no joke, let me tell you. This was my first for this year, and I forgot just how tired my body is by the end of the (10 hour) day. I got my Fitbit for xmas, so this was my first wedding since I've been using it and I clocked over 3,000 calories! Whaaaaaat??

I'm so very sore today, but after seeing the number, I'm absolutely elated. We're only halfway through the Dietbet, and I've almost lost all of the weight I wanted to!! It's been hard work watching what I eat so much, but it's really paying off. And honestly, I think cutting out alcohol substantially has made a huge difference. Even yesterday I tried to make the best decisions I could. Yogurt for breakfast, a bigger lunch (leftover hamburger with peppers/tomatoes and some of my detox soup), a granola bar as a snack around 3pm. Wedding food isn't great for you, and I tried my best to add it to myfitnesspal accurately. It came out to about 743 calories - filet mignon (I didn't end up finishing the whole thing), a bit of asparagus, and potatoes. With some kind of sauce/gravy on the steak. Calorie intake for the day was 1,679, including the half an apple I had as a snack when I got home. Which actually put me under my calorie target according to Fitbit, based on everything I burned.

My water intake yesterday was pretty horrible, though. Early in the day I didn't want to load up because we were going to be outside for a few hours shooting before the ceremony... and honestly, I have a tiny bladder. I didn't want to have to pee the whole time. But then I didn't get any water until after the ceremony, and I was parched. Drank some at dinner, and then a bunch when I got home... while I soaked my legs and feet in the tub. I don't think people understand just how tiring it is, or how sore we get doing what we do. And I wear sneakers all day.

Can't believe it's May already!! My trip and 30th birthday are at the end of this month, and I'm already feeling so great about my body. I know it's going to be even better by the time the trip comes around. So thankful for Dietbet and the motivation it gives me to make it happen. Now if only I would have done this before the wedding... heh. I guess it's comforting to know that he still married me at my heaviest ;)

As for today, no workout. lol. It's going to be a struggle to drag myself to the grocery store. We are planning to go get tacos today - we've been craving them all week. I'm going to go as healthy as I can with them and just watch what I eat for all other meals. It's about balance, after all.

At any rate, I hope you are all finding success in your weight loss journeys!
