This week was sort of ehh. I felt good going into the week, but I let my eating choices get away from me a bit. I did great with my workouts, I went to the gym five times which is my goal, but I think I'm going to try switching it up a bit more to trick my body and keep things moving in the right direction. I did lose 0.8lb this week, and a loss is a loss, but I would have liked to see a little bit bigger of a loss.
I had a cheat meal on Monday, as I usually do, of breakfast for dinner with cinnamon rolls, plus a cupcake I had been saving for dessert. I only went over my daily points a little bit, but in hind sight I should have saved the cupcake for a different day. Then on Wednesday a girl in one of my classes brought cupcakes for everyone. I was going to say no thank you, but I ended up taking a carrot cake cupcake. It was delicious, but I didn't NEED it. Then on Saturday night I went to the movie tavern and had a barbeque chicken sandwich and fries, which wasn't the worst choice there, but it still wasn't that great. Then on Sunday night I ate a huge dinner, which was within my points but it was a mistake because I usually try to eat light the night before I weigh in, so that threw me off. I think this is a lot of the reason why I had a small loss today, because usually what happens after I eat a big meal is that it sticks with me for a day or so, and then it's gone. So I'll probably see a pound of two difference on my home scale this week, which would be nice.
But despite my ups and downs this week, I did have a loss and I know it was a good week, even if the scale didn't exactly show that. There are five weeks to weigh in during May, so I am confident that I can still reach all the goals I have set for myself. Here's to another good week!
