I am new here to DietBet but this weight loss journey of mine is no different than a lot of you out there. I have lost weight, gained weight, lost again and said I would never gain it again however here I am heavier than I have been since having kids. What's crazy is that I am a pretty confident woman.  I am a Stylist with Stella & Dot so I am always dressing up with my jewelry and acccessories.  I always have make up and hair done.  It's just how I've always been yet my weight has gone up in the last 6 months because of some personal things going on.  My husband was involved in a lawsuit with a former employer that completely wiped out our finances to fight, once that ended my mom was diagnosed with uterine cancer and had to have surgery and all the while we had a hearbreaking sitauation with my mother in law that is still not over.  I think back and see why I was using food to make me feel better.  It wasn't just the sweets.  I was eating food and lots of it.  That's always been my problem.  Even when I eat "healthy" foods I tend to eat large portions.  Why is that? THAT is what I am trying to change first.

I need challenges, some kind of motivation to get me through this weight loss journey.  I like to see immediate results which I know is not a good thing because as we all know weight loss is slow going process and it's more successful that way. I am motivated but when I suffer a setback (like a slight gain) I go nuts. I hate it.  I just need the help to get through it. 

I am hoping that writing through this journey will give me the extra push I need.  Knowing that others are out there in the same boat will help too.
