Well, I didn't exactly sprint into this month's finish. I jammed along steadily without issue for most of the month but then...PMS...and then...binge eating. I didn't go too crazy, but the day before weigh in isn't the time to eat half a pound of deli turkey meat dipped into Crisp & Juicy Peruvian chicken sauce as my afternoon snack. I guess it was worth it at the time, but definitely not worth having to worry about not making my weight loss goal.

I lost 8.4 pounds this month (or maybe it was 8.6, I don't remember) but it ended up being about 3.7% of my body weight. I was going for 4% but I'll take it! It gives me a little head start for the coming month when I'm supposed to lose another 3%. It's a holiday weekend and I'm taking some other time off this month just because I can and what that means is more time around the house. Work days aren't a problem for me because I pack my lunch every day and there's nothing at work for me to snack on. Home days are much, much harder.

Goals for the upcoming month: More water and more walking. I also want to eat just a little bit more. Most days I've been eating between 1200-1300 calories and although that's good for weight loss, it really isn't sustainable long term. I want to increase it to 1400. People who diet will understand this - it's pretty easy to eat very little but significantly harder to eat in moderation. Learning moderation is key here and that is what I need to work on the most.
