Happy Friday, everyone!  How did you do yesterday?  Considering it was my first day back into the DietBet world, I'm pretty happy with how I did.

Realistically, I have to accept that I am a grazer.  I like to eat little bits of food all day long.  When I worked outside of the home, I lost weight very easily.  Then I took a work-from-home job, and now I'm staying at home with my baby for a year.  Guess what my weight did?  Spiked right up.  That darn kitchen is always just a few steps away.

So yesterday, I grazed.  But instead of grazing on Cheetos and Hot Tamales, I chose bell peppers, carrots, and low fat cheese sticks.  I had a handful of Life Cinnamon ceral instead of the bag of marshmallows that I wanted to devour.  Seriously, they were staring me down.  Does that ever happen to you?

So, yes, I'm pretty happy with yesterday.  And so far today is going well.  I went for a 3.88 mile walk.  It would have been pretty easy, but my baby decided he wanted to be carried for the last mile.  Nothing like a difficulty modifier in the home stretch!

But the weekend will soon be upon us.  You'd think that staying at home would mean that weekends wouldn't have much of an effect, but since my husband is available all day, it is easy to enable our desire to go out and chow down five full plates at the Chinese buffet.  Luckily (?) we've got the power of a tight budget behind us for the rest of the month, due to some egregious spending earlier.  My husband may not be all aboard the not-going-out-to-eat train for health reasons, but when we've got a monetary goal to meet, he can be beans-and-rice for as long as necessary, haha.

The dinners I have planned on the monthly menu are healthy.  It's breakfast and lunch, and those McDonald's coupons, that throw us off.

Anyway, I'm sending you lots of solidarity thoughts for the upcoming days.  Let me know how you're doing.  What temptations are you expecting over the weekend?
