Christmas is coming fast and it's prime time for all sorts of treats and goodies and food & drink temptations to be confronted.  I'm working on staying focused on the bigger picture, the people and the camarderie of the season rather than the food.  A hug is better than a cookie any day.

Although I will say, the food I focus on is luscious.....I'm eating a lot of lobster, shrimp, sockeye salmon, filet mignon, asparagus, and cauliflower in a hundred different, delightful ways this season.  As long as I'm indulging in some form or fashion, I'm less tempted by the sugary and bready things.   Of course, to feel virtuous, there's always roast chicken and steamed broccoli with lemon juice (it doesn't hurt that that's one of my all time favorite meals regardless of what the scale may say).

Other than that, I think I'm getting most of my steps in trying to get the ornaments just right on the Christmas tree or 20 trips to the grocery store and the dollar store getting that one thing I forgot last time.  But if it works, it works, right?

Power on, people!  We can do it!
