The holiday bulge has found me, as usual. I've put on 3-5 lbs of pure sugar weight this month. It doesn't help that as a dance teacher and fitness instructor, I normally teach 20 classes per week and bike to/from work every day, but I've been off for winter break since I work on the school schedule. I'm very much looking forward to passing out my candy collection and getting back into my healthy routines. Normally, I'd also be looking forward to a month or two of kickstarters as well, to get myself back on track before I return to maintenance mode... but this year I'm going to be happily putting on 15-25 pounds instead. That's right, I'm pregnant! 

I do plan on staying active in the dietbet community, hosting a few games, and finding motivation to keep myself healthy in the message boards. I've come a long way not only in my weight loss and maintenance journey, but also my self-acceptance as well. A year ago, I would've been freaking out about the prospect of gaining weight. But now, I know I have the tools to manage it healthfully, and to lose it again when my body is ready. The most important thing is to fuel my body and give it the TLC it needs to grow a person. 

So I'll be back in the games someday, but not anytime soon.
