So It's day 2 of this food accountability blog. Wow, I actually made it to a second day! I hope I can keep this up :-) Day 1 consisted of some pretty amazing sticking to my diet................until I got home & started cooking for my fiance & then I realized, I did so amazing during the first parts of my day because I planned for the morning & afternoon but not the evening. (I usually eat my dinner at work around 4 because it's just easier), but I realized that all that taste testing I've been doing while cooking for him is like a 2nd dinner I've been eating. Last night I ended up eating some more of the chili that I heated up for him (which I was not hungry for at all, it just smelled good lol) and I made some oatmeal cookies with butter & I ate a ton of them (like 5-7). Not cool. In the past when I'd over eat I would skip breakfast the next day out of guilt & shame (basically starving myself!) & that would mess up my whole day & make me ravenous by lunch & dinner, well not this time! I wasn't falling for it! This morning I ate my designated oatmeal & took my vitamins :-). I realized that in the past my method of weight loss was punishing myself instead of targeting the behavior & replacing it with a healthier beahvior. Tonight, I'm going to plan to drink my green smoothie "while" I'm cooking his dinner to hopefully ward of cravings for the stuff I really don't need. here's my daily food plan:

9am: breakfast: 4 packs of oatmeal 560 calories (I know this seems like a lot, but for somebody who's used to eating a b-fast close to 1000+ calories w/ cheese eggs, bacon, home fries, etc.
This is an upgrade! Plus I need alot of calories because I'm usually running all around the office in the mornings.)

flexible: snack: banana- 105 calories

2:30pm: lunch: 1 cup of chili - 224 calories (yesterdays bowl was waaaaay too much!)

flexible: snack: banana- 105 calories

I'm shooting for 6 or 7 pm- dinner: 1 green smoothie w/ banana & orange juice- 220 calories

Total is 1214 calories (which is kinda low for my weight & height) but I'm leaving myself some room for a slip up. One thing I did notice is that all of this fiber has REALLY made a difference in my *ahem* "regularity" lol, & my stomach was super flat this morning! I'm looking forward to a successful day 3 blog post tomorrow!
