Yes I'm back on Dietbet because it seems to be the only thing that makes me loose weight during a season.
Previously I have raced go-karts as my main sport. Its a field where a lower weight is a big advantage. However, For the last the last couple of years I've been doing triathlons to 'tri' (getit?!) and reduce my weight!
I went all the way from Supersprint (300m swim, 6mile bike, 1 mile run), through sprint and olympic distances upto half ironman (1.2mile swimin open water, 56miles on the bike and a 13.1mile half marathon run) and the lightest I reduced my chubby 209lb frame down to was 193 and that was at the end of the 1/2IM went I lost 7lbs during the event!
SO this year, I've come back to DB. Started off fatter than normal (215) thanks to being diagnosed with stress amongst other things.
I felt the instant benefit we all do when we actually how much we're eating and cut out the crap! With nothing more than banning bread, and a few processed sugars, oh and getting a Dog (long story) in the first week(ish) I dropped 5lbs on my first game! and in a moment of utter stupidity and rare ego for a British man I signed up for another game thinking ... and yes the words did actually come out of my mouth... "this is easy"
Problem is I have three days left on my first game and I've achieved my goal but the 2nd game ends five days later and I need to loose another 4-5lbs!.
To make matters even worse my weight is see-sawing around A LOT. One day I'm 210 next I'm 205, then I'm 208, then I'm 205 again. I'm all over the place. so much so that my unofficial weigh-ins are actually an average of the last few days
Yes, before you ask I have been weighing my self at the same time during the day to take into account my internal 'contents'.
This is going to get tense!
