So I did it, week one is in the books and I'm a solid 4 lbs down. Even though 4 lbs is great I keep wanting to see a difference and lets be honest here 4 lbs is a measly few steps in a long journey. The fact of the mater is I have about 25 times that to lose. So I'm trying to celebrate the journey and the things that will never be able to be seen. Like the fact that I fixed breakfast every morning this week and shared my eggs and fresh fruit with my little guy. I made memories by taking him to the pool. I'm taking care of myself now to be a better me, mom and wife in the years to come. Even though it's hard to see the change when all I look at is the 4 lbs, I know there are things so much more that the scale will never be able to tell.
