I am really excited to get started on my first DietBets. I am entered in both a 4-week Kickstarter and a 6-month Transformation. I was going to wait and only do one at a time, but I thought I'd go all in.
I have struggled with my weight for my entire life. My mom put me on my first diet when I was in the 6th grade. It worked, but as soon as I'd lost weight, we went right back to the way things were before. I gained all of the weight back and more. This was my first yo-yo. I didn't go on any more diets until I was an adult. The loss followed by the gain was too much for me at 11 years old.
Since then, I've done every diet out there. I'm not going to list them all because I'm sure you've tried them all too. What I have discovered over the years is that there are two things that hold me back every time. One is that I hate tracking calories. The other is that as soon as I see in inkling of success, I fall back into my old habits.
In order to tackle my calorie counting issues, I'm going to plan my food out for the next day and pre-track everything. This way, I know what my targets are and as long as I stick to the plan, I won't run out of calories before dinner time. I will include something sweet after dinner in my plan so that I am not derailed by my desire for dessert.
To tackle falling off the wagon, I think that acknowledging it and watching out for it are probably enough. Keeping my DietBets at the forefront of my mind through daily interactions will help me remember that consistency is the key to success.
Welcome to my journey. I can't wait to get going and start winning some money!
