I'm excited to try my first DietBet.  I'll need to lose 7 lbs to win and it's more than I've ever lost in a month before.  That part makes me nervous, but even if I only get halfway there it would be a great month for me.

I'm a professional blogger (groceryshrink.com) and am in school to be a personal trainer, not because I'm perfect at fitness, but because it's super hard for me. I'm in school to learn the reasons why I'm struggling and get more tools to find success. I'm also excited about encouraging others on their fitness journey. Being healthy impacts so much of our life enjoyment, PLUS it affects my family.  When I'm not healthy my husband and children suffer.

I'm a mom to 6.  My oldest graduates high school this year and my youngest just turned 7. I was able to lose the baby weight after all 6 babies, but I became really sick with a stress induced hormone imbalance about 4 years ago and gained 40 lbs.  It has been a long 3 year journey to feeling better.  Over those 3 years I spent a lot of hours in bed during the day. Just getting dressed exhausted me.

Eating right has been a huge part of my recovery.  I was completely exercise intolerant during that time, but I started a year ago, adding 2 days of TRX training, and now am able to do cross-training on the in between days. My body composition has changed big time, but my weight has actually gone up. I look a lot better, but still have 30-40lbs of body fat to lose.

My biggest struggle with weight loss happens at 3pm and beyond.  I can eat a healthy breakfast, snacks and lunch, then I completely fall apart at 3pm.  SO HUNGRY! I spent part of the morning researching 3pm hacks and am working on a plan.  This is the piece I've been missing.
