I thought I had it made when my oldest 3 were boys. I thought perfect practice for when my daughter hits those emotional teenage years. BOY was I wrong. My oldest is going through a lot of stress. Soon he'll be transitioning to high school, he's having difficulties with a teacher (who i completely dislike as well so I commiserate with him) among other teenage woes. After bascially being a punching bag (not physically) I wanted to eat EVERYTHING. I forgot to pick my 2 younger children up from daycare (ooops) and dinner was left in the fridge (baseball life). So I stopped by Chick-fil-a. I so wanted the chicken minis and waffle fries and anything else that would make me feel loved in the moment, but I settled for grilled nuggets and a little fruit. Was it satisfying? Not really. Did it get me away from that emotional binge? Absolutely. Cheers to good choices and not sabotoging ourselves.
