Hi Everyone!

I haven't weighed in yet, so I can't post on game boards, but I've found one of the most helpful things about diet bet is that it helps me get things in perspective when I want to break my diet. I think it's something about writing things down, seeing them, and realizing there are solutions to them. Also, that the dietbet community is so helpful.

So, here's how things are: It's day two of my diet. Losing weight will be great, but the main reason I'm dieting this time is because for the last year or so I've had some terrible allergies - pretty similar to Joe from Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead, actually. Hives, occasional trouble breathing, itchiness, head fogginess, and fatigue. So, like Joe and the others in the movie, I've started a juice diet. I just want to say here - I don't know how good juice diets are for sustained weight loss. I haven't read any studies. And I've gained back half the weight from one I did before. I do know though that they helped my allergy symptoms last time. So here I am again.

And I'm hungry! Day two wasn't easy last time around either. I feel weak, and my body isn't used to not having food. But, my allergy symptoms are already better. So that's good. And, sometimes when I eat, I have a reaction to something and it sets me off anyway - so, I could be feeling this weak and about this hungry even if I wasn't doing this. And, this way, I know I'm getting better. OK. Good enough pep talk. I have the motivation to keep juicing now.

If you're curious about what I'm doing, the Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead website is at rebootwithjoe.com. It has way more info than I could give. The movie is a good watch too.

OK. Time to go to class! Hope you guys are all feeling both peppier and less hungry than I am!
