When I started (again) trying to lose weight in 2009 I was 335.6 lbs and would have been happy just to get under 300.  But after joining SparkPeople.com I gathered momentum and surprisingly even got under 200.  And then I actually got my BMI under 25 which shocked the heck out of me.

Even more surprising is that as a woman in my mid-40s I discovered a love of white water kayaking.  It feels like I was put on this earth to kayak and I'm determined to stay in shape to continue enjoying it as long as I can.

There is a lot more about my story, how I did this, etc. on my page at SparkPeople.com:

What brought me here to dietbet is an unwelcome regain after life threw me some nasty curve balls.  I worked too dang hard to get the weight off and assume an active life to end up back where I started.

So here I am, pushing back off the weight I regained.  Because that's what we maintainers do.
