Started this morning with a workout at 5AM. i have NO earthly idea how people function that early. It wasn't pretty and unfortunately i walked out of the workout 15 minutes early because my piriformis/hipflexor/IT band was just in too much pain. i've been rehabing my right leg for 7 weeks now, the end of last week i was allowed to slowly re-introduce running, and today my leg said "enough." i left the workout early and slightly ticked at myself but everything hurt and i'd rather leave early than suck it up and make the injury worse.

Followed today up with a trip to the chiropractor AND physical therapy. The leg is feeling slightly better and i hope tomorrow's swim/bike workout will go more according to plan.

i'm absolutely amazed how awesome prepping my meals has turned out to be. Walked in the door from work at 8:20PM and didn't have to think about food and thus didn't make any horrible decisions - just popped my pre-made meal into the microwave and was good to go. i got hungry at work so i went ahead and logged in my calories for dinner to see what was left, and had plenty of calories left for a snack - so that was rad. i stuck with tracking my calories today for the first time in a long time...hopefully i continue the trend!

In other random news, i think i've decided to sign up for a triathlon on 7 Sept. It's a sprint - 250y swim, 7 mile bike, 2.25 mile run. i know i've got the swim and the run easy - i worry about the bike not because i can't do it, but because biking on actual roads freaks me out...but here's to facing fears, yeah? Now to buy a helmet and pick up my sister-in-law's bike...

This journey feels better than other attempts at the same journey...i know it's going to take a lot of work to stick to the plan, but i think i'm ready this time!
