I'm pretty proud of myself right now; I'm on vacation in New Orleans for my boyfriend's sister's wedding and I've still managed to track my food, watch what I eat, and get in some form of physical activity. For example, The day we flew out (Tuesday morning) I skipped bad airport food and plane snacks and instead I opted for sugar snap peas and a few cashews. When we came in, we did have po boys but I got the small size. Then yesterday I woke up with a cup of green tea and walked around the french quarter all day, I enjoyed a pina colada guilt free due to all the walking along with a bit of spinach and artichoke dip, then for dinner we all had a spicy rice, shirmp, and peppers dish. Today, I again woke up with a cup of green tea and I went for a 4 mile run, ate a banana.

And here I am slowly proving to myself that I can do this, that healthy eating habits and fitness are not locationally dependent; weight gain will not be put on pause just because there is a vacation to be had or special events to attend. It is difficult not to indulge at times, but seeing and feeling the changes in my body as I implement new and more healthful habits really helps me stay on track, even when I'm out of town.
