Ok so I'd like to start by saying that no being where you want to be is not synonymous with not being successful. Progress is a continuous measurement, qualitative vs quantitative. What I'm saying here is that there is no set number that determines whether or not you have improved, any change toward your goal should be seen as massive improvements, because whatever steps you took or changes you made to get you there were not easy! If they were easy, second nature things for you, they wouldn't be changes because you would have been doing them already. Always be proud of yourself.

Coming from someone who grew up with an extremely negative body image with constant external validation of these negative feeling, I know positive thought isn't always easy, but it makes your life a lot easier if you can get past the negativity to celebrate all the little successes along the way. Every pound in a conquered obstacle and should always be seen as such.

I know this is long, especially for my first blog post, but my rant is now over and if you take anything from this, know to always be proud of yourself for how far you've come and know if you continue to be positive and work hard you can go even farther. It's taken me a long time to get where I am, but I'm finally getting to a place where I can be comfortable in my own skin, and hopefully my first bet will help me reach that goal definitively.
