Yesterday was day 2 of 8 days of juicing, 3 days coming off, 3 weeks vegetarian diet, just in time for Thanksgiving.
The day went surprisingly well. I am astonished at how many vegetables I go through. The juice is a hit with my toddlers if I add apple and carrots a little more generously to my mix of cucumber, carrots, celery, and greens (spinach or kale).
I had "smooth move" Traditional Medicines tea to help expel remaining solids in the evening. So far, I feel good. I'm already way lighter... lost 3-4 lbs already. I don't know how much of it is fat loss though. Also, I wonder if I will gain it back fast after.
My sense of smell has heightened. My husband has stepped up and cooked dinner for himself and the boys, which is awesome. I have developed a lot of sympathy for professional chefs out there who might be trying to do juicing or limited diet. How hard would that be?! Always being around the delicious aroma of food, preparing and sending out, but not having any.
In the afternoon, I had a low sugar kind of episode. I definitely was more irritable. So I had my "dinner" juice a lot earlier. Come to think of it, raw juice 4 times a day seems to be optimal for me, not just 3 times colliding with when others eat.
