Picture a water aerobics class in your head. What do you see? White haired ladies? Pregnant women? Rehab patients? If those are the only people you saw, you're living in the dark ages. While it's foundations lie with those populations, water aerobics has grown and evolved in the last 20-40 years. We've come a long way and here's why you should join us -

1) 360 degree resistance training

2) less impact on your joints

3) intense core training

4) average 400-500 calories burned in an hour class (depending on your intensity level)

5) more discrete (others can only see your head and shoulders)

6) fabulous way to build strength

I could go on for days. I highly encourage all of you to find a water aerobics class and give it a try.  I always tell skeptics, "Give me one class, just one! I'll change your mind about water aerobics forever." In fact, if you're in the Des Moines area (either living here or traveling through), drop me a note on my cheer board. I'll get you one pass to try my class.

For those who are too far away, I'll start posting some of my workouts. You can try them on your own.
